SMH10 microphone not working?
The microphone on my new SMH10 unit does not appear to be working.
Let me explain, I have a brand new SMH10 (and new helmet) that has been paired with the SMH10 on my old helmet (the SMH10 on my old helmet was actually part of a dual SMH10 package, and the second SMH10 unit in the pair is on my girlfriend's helmet that was not involved with any of my testing with the new unit). Anyway, from my old SMH10 unit on my old helmet, I can talk to the new unit on the new helmet just fine, but talking into the new unit's microphone does nothing, even after maxing the volume on my old helmet.
And when I switch the units between the helmets (keeping the fixed microphones in place), the new unit works just fine on my old helmet and talking on my old helmet's microphone transmits audio to the new helmet without issue. But again, talking into the mic on my new helmet transmits nothing to the SENA on my old helmet.
So this little test proves that the new microphone is either not working, or there is some sort of extra BT pairing voodoo that needs to be done. Naturally the brand new unit fails to work when I buy it as a gift for my son, so I'm pretty peeved right now. The unit should just work!
Any feedback on what it could be aside from a failed unit that just shipped fresh from RevZilla, would be greatly appreciated.

It's a bad mic. While physically manipulating the mic on the new SMH10 unit, the speakers on my old SMH10 unit suddenly cackled to life! And for a good 30 seconds or so the new SMH10 unit worked correctly, and then the mic died again. And now no amount of manipulation can make it work again. So this is a matter of faulty wiring inside the mic boom itself, and now I have to send it back to RevZilla.

I am having the same problem. But worse! Purchased mine in 2014. April of 2016 the microphone stopped working. Can hear music and when calls/emails/texts come in. However, when i push the phone button Siri says she cannot hear me. Nothing. Sena last year replaced the unit. All worked fine until Sunday. Works on morning ride. I stopped for 45 minutes and started ride again and nothing. stopped working. Swapped out Mic and still does not work. Called Sena and their answer was buy a new one. Cannot help you. REALLY!! The worst support ever!

My sc2 (Schuberth OEM) microphone suddenly stopped working. There is no harm on it. Versions of the intercom is updated. Connections checked not problem.
What the reason can be?
