Freewire, SMH10r with 2014 Harley Davidson SG
I just bought the Freewire with the understanding that it allows two-way communication to my 2014 HD SG using my SMH10R attached to my helmet. I have the 7 din cable on my HD and have plugged it into the Freewire. I get one way communication from the boombox to my helmet but I cannot use the voice commands and speak into the boombox. I have updated all firmware, I have reset all factory settings, I have re-paired the Freewire to SMH10R, and I have ensured all bluetooth is not interfering with the communication. I have checked to make sure my mic on SMH10R is working (and it is.) Any help anyone can provide would be most helpful.

So I now know that the Freewire doesn't provide two-way communication on the Harley boombox system using the following Sena bluetooth devices:
- SMH10
- SMH10R
- SPH10
- SPH10H-FM
- SMH5
- SMH5-FM
You can hear information out of the boombox but you cannot have two-way communication if you are using one of the above devices. Doesn't make sense to me why not all of Sena devices couldn't provide two-way communication.

Only Sena headsets that use Bluetooth 4.1+ are fully compatible with the FreeWire. Older headsets such as the SMH10R only allow audio output from the 7-pin DIN port on the bike. This FAQ lists which headsets are fully compatible with the FreeWire.
