It might be neat if the system supported a 'broadcast intercom' feature that would allow users to select a 'broadcast' channel that other Sena users could enable to allow them receive 'hailing calls' from passing Sena users who might want to say hi, without having to go through the pairing process.

Users who choose to accept calls from the universal channel would be connected with callers who initiate connections on that channel.

Seems neat to me - an open intercom system.
