My wife and I both have Sena SC1 sets built in in Schuberth helmets and we have exactly the same problems. I understand that 10U and SC1 are equivalent. It would be great if someone would have an answer to that issue.

I've got SMH10 dual set. At first worked fine in intercom and GPS. Then, occasionally we found that they were not auto-connecting back to intercom after GPS instructions. At this time they would successfully auto-connect intercom when first powered up........ Now, they won't auto-connect intercom on power up although they do auto-connect to GPS. I have to manually connect them each time on power up. Further, the intercom is fine up until the first GPS instruction, then they drop off and no longer auto-connect intercom... The situation is that I can use the headsets for GPS only, or for intercom only, but not both. Intercom auto-connect still doesn't work under any condition....... I've tried un-pairing and re-pairing; factory reset; deep rest; updated the software to latest (v.5.1.2) and situation remains the same.......... Contacted Sena Support and STILL waiting for a reply......... Any suggestions from here?

By way of additional info on this problem:

Having done all resets and firmware updates, along with a load of testing to try and identify when / what makes the problem occur, I have discovered that it is going out of range that causes the problem.

As long as the units stay within range during an intercom session then the session can be terminated and restarted without issue.  If, however, the units go out of range during an intercom session, whilst they will automatically re-connect when they come back within range, once the session is subsequently terminated the only way to start another session is to power cycle either of the units.

It appears that this inability to re-establish an intercom session may well be due to the fact that one (or both) of the units are not correctly releasing their Bluetooth connection following the devices having been moved out of range of each other.

Not sure if this is specific to me (or both) of these units or whether it is a bug in the software.

Will update further if I get anywhere.....
