I believe it's a DC 3.0 type connector, añthough the jacket on cigarette ñighter connector appears to be a custom size that allows it to fit snuglysnugly into the DC connector on the Freewire.

I too am trying to power it via a USB to DC cable so I can mount it inside my faring and just forget about it. One less device to plug/unplug when on the bike.

In experimenting, I found that this cable from Amazon (search for item # B01C5KQD5I) when coupled with the DC 3.0 tip it comes with does indeed charge and power the device on and off when the bike is powered on. The problem is that I had to shave 1-2cm of the plug's jacket off in order for the tip to be fully inserted into the device. Also, the connection seemed like it would be prone to falling out, particularly on a bumpy ride.

I've found plugs for the SMH-10 here : https://helmetsounds.com/sena-usb-power-cable-micro-usb-type-for-smh-10-v2/. But, I'm not sure whether the connector would fit any better inside the Freewire.

Seriously considering just cutting the connector off of the cigarette lighter charger and soldering it onto a USB-A cable, then calling it done.

Any luck finding the right cable.  I am also looking for a straight dc power cable for the freewire so that I can hardwire.  I cannot believe sena is not supplying this ... seems so simple.
