    Hi Jörg Drücker

Please download the previous file from the link provided below, and follow the attached instructions.

    M1 EVO - V2.0.5 - Download Link

If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

    To restore the firmware,

    1. Open Sena Device Manager and connect your device to the computer via a USB Power & Data Cable
    2. Once Sena Device Manager recognizes your device, click on browse and select the older firmware file that was downloaded.
    3. Then click on update and wait for the process to finish
    4. Once it finishes restoring to the old firmware, your device should be loaded with the selected firmware
Note: Please click on No to not update your firmware to the latest version

    Thank you,

    Hi Alex,

    thank you for your support.
Unfortunately the V2.0.5 din't solve the problem.

In detail, the problem shows in the following behavior:

When I adjust the volume by the SENA iOS App, the volume can be adjusted as desired, the volume is high enough (I don't even need to set the slider to maximum volume).

But - when I touch the volume buttons on my iPhone XS (iOS 16.6) the volume instantly jumps to a much lower level. With the volume buttons on the iPhone or the buttons on the M1 EVO it cannot be increased to a sufficient high volume.

So, the volume jumps between a high level (when I use the app to adjust it) and a low level when I use the buttons on the helmet or the buttons on the iPhone.
In that configuration it is very annoying to communicate with the M1 Evo, as the volume cannot be adjusted in a sufficient way.

I tested this on both M1 Evo helmets I own and with two different iPhones XS - it is the same problem on both of it.

In the past everything was ok, but I am not sure which firmware version I had used. Maybe it was 2.0.3 or even an earlier version.

If you could send me a link to 2.0.3 or 2.0.2 I could try and test it and I will send you a report which version is ok.

    Thank you very much.

    Jörg

    Hi Alex,

can you help me with my issue. As I had written, the problem I described is the same on two units of the M21 Evo, on two different iPhones. So maybe a solution might be relevant for other users as well.

    Thank you in advance,
    Jörg

Hi Jörg, I just got 2 M1 Evo helmets yesterday and did the firmware update and mine did the same thing your helmet volume did.  I found a video on Youtube that I followed and now my volume is loud again.  I had to change a setting in my android phone and it worked successfully allowing me to get a louder maximum volume on my bluetooth device.  Here is the link, hope it helps you as well:  How to Fix Volume Too Low on Android Phone using Bluetooth (Headset or Speakers) - YouTube

    Cheers,

    Kim

Sorry Jörg, just noticed you said you were using an Iphone and not android.  There are a lot of videos on how to fix volume too low on iPhone using Bluetooth (headset or speakers) on you tube as well.  Check them out, love you tube, it always seems to come through with a fix.  :)

    Hi Kimberly,

thank you very much for your hints.
Actually I tested the most popular of those settings (disable volume limit, disable automatic volume adjustment, set EQ to "late night"), but they did not help in my situation.

    The main problem is:
when I use the SENA App, I can adjust the helmet volume as I want and everything works fine.
But then when I touch one of the buttons "Vol+" or "Vol-" on the helmet or one of the buttons "Vol+" or "Vol-" on the side of the iPhone, the volume instantly drops down to a level where the volume of music or mesh intercom is much lower.

Yet I did not find any settings on the iPhone to correct this.

    Cheers,
    Jörg

I'm having this exact same issue right now. In the app for my android phone I can make it go to max volume. But when I use my phone's volume controls or the helmets buttons, the volume drops substantially and can't increase unless I go back to the app, which is annoying to do. Sometimes the volume goes low if I pause and u pause music/videos. I'll keep looking for an answer because listening to anything is impossible without the higher volume.

My solution ended up being buying a completely different item. I bought the Sena Expand Mesh Multi-Sport Intercom. The volume is much more clear, louder, and private. I can have my regular helmet on while also having this headset on which is great. I just can't do the Sena helmet with its low volume.
