Error tone (beep) for all mesh participants
We sometimes have the problem that we hear a tone (beep) in the mesh. I think this is an acknowledgement of an error. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find out what exactly is responsible for the error. I hope someone can help me to find out.
The problem is that we are a very big community with over 100 people. No, we do not all ride together :) We often meet in groups of 10 to 20 people. The bigger the group the more likely the problem occurs.
Most of us have a Sena 30K (old and new version) and 50S. Sometimes there are also 2 or 3 people with another Sena that only Bluetooth can do. We always connect only 1 BT Sena with a Mesh Sena (30K, 50S) and then press the [M] Mesh button. Everyone can hear everyone. But then at some point the problem with the double tone begins. This sound is heard by everyone in the mesh. Therefore, we can't pinpoint exactly which device it is.
I also went to some devices where I know that they had other BT connections in the past and deleted all connections (configuration menu, delete all). I'm not sure if I caught all of them, we are just too many people. And the more people we have, the more often the problem occurs.
What is the easiest way to localize the problem?

Kurt, I've read in some of the other chats, with similar issue. The consensus was to mute the Mesh Intercoms. Enable/Disable the Microphone by pressing the Mess Intercom button for 1 sec. There will be feedback that the mic has been disabled. To re-enable, press the Mess Intercom button again for 1 sec.

Hello Stone! Thanks for your answer. We will give this a try. However, I don't know exactly how this will help us if we all turn off our microphone. We want to use the mesh hands free. Always turning the microphone on and off to talk is not so great.

Kurt,
While I agree with you...
From what I recall, reading the earlier post, it had to do with the number of open mics and wind noise. If everyone was riding big fairings bikes, you might have a better chance with hands free. Certainly interested in your results. I haven't had the pleasure of riding in a large group with Bluetooth Mesh yet.

We have the same problem in our Group and could not figure out a solution yet. Neither have I found any official documentation on limitations or anything else related to this problem.

Still looking for a solution to this exact issue! We just need to turn the sensitivity down, how is there no way to do this???

Is there a.solution?

Sena has literally said nothing. The problem is three parts:
1) even tho any number of people can "be on open mesh" only 6 can "talk" at once
2) "Talking" just means the VOX is held down
3) "You cannot adjust the vox low enough to keep wind noise from ever so slightly holding the mic open
So even if nobody is actually talking, just the wind noise keeps the mic keyed down, and prevents people from speaking. Ugh!
