SMH10 and iphone 3gs with ipod 4 and stereo

I have an ipod 4 with all the music on it and an iphone 3gs, but cannot have them both connected at the same time to the smh10, I did an upgrade to ver 4.1.1 but it still does not work ( it does at least not lock the ipod ).

help

is it possible to have them both

also the ipod plays in mono only, how do you switch the stereo on ?

  Phone is able to charge on ANY charger I've given it so far: usb/computer, Garmin chargers, and a slew of other 12v car adapters. The only problem is the Sena 12v car adapters. They only work on the SMH10s and NONE of my other devices like 1st studio site working on all device. I agree with your conclusion that they're putting out a very low amperage - just enough for the SMH10 and my other usb devices need more. Too bad they can't be used globally, like all the other adapters I've tried.
