flashing red/blue

I just bought the SMH10.  The unit has been plugged in for hours and never turned blue.  Anyway, I downloaded the update for firmware this morning and the update process seemed to work as described.

But now the indicator flashes red/blue.  What does this mean?

And why doesn't the indicator turn solid blue?

  I have three units on 5.01 and this is only happening to one unit . the one i mainly use too.

  Any news on if this is an issue with your device and did it need to be replaced at all? I just encountered the same issue and see the device stays solid red if it's on and charging but when turned off, the device alternates blue/red LED charging indicators...
