Yuki, have the battery of the SMH10R connected while you are charging the headset and leave it charging for at least a couple of hours. Furthermore, use the micro-USB cable that came with the headset when charging the battery.

Yes, of course everything needed is connected!  It was factory defect.  The agent I spoke on the phone is sending me a replacement item soon.  It looks like this is very common problems since I found 2 other people who had exact same problem in different forums.  And the support agent knew what I'm talking about right away.  Hopefully a new one works no problem.  Thank you very much.

I bought a pair of Brand-new SMH10R. They are not charging at all. One of the devices just works when it is plugged but as soon as I received a phone call the device lose the connection with the phone.  I could never turn on the second device. It is incredible that Sena sells their products without testing them!! Both came in the same box!!

"It's not working at all.  I tried directly connecting to my PC and Macbook, then both were the same result.  Basically it doesn't do anything when the device is turned off.  Immediately after it's connected, Red LED turned on for a second, then Blue flashes twice.  It makes sense because it's low battery.  Then, it does nothing after.   When the device is turned on the device says "Hello", then LED turns red and the device's blue light start flashing.  It continues about 2 min or so, then without saying "Good-bye", the device automatically turns off."

This is also my problem verbatim and I use the factory charge cable exclusively.

This is my problem verbatim and I use the charger that came with the unit.

Just had to send my SMH10R back - would not charge plugged into laptop or wall. Red light than blue blinked twice then nothing. Very disappointing- had everything set up in my helmet and then had to send it all back. Waiting for new unit - hope this one works!

I had this problem too. So, you power on, and there's nothing. Connect USB and power on, you get a red light followed by a couple of blue flashes, before it powers off. Nothing. Nada.

Know what it was on my device? The pin had snapped off. Between the battery and the unit is a plug and guess what? Broken pin.No connection there means the unit sees no power UNLESS it's plugged into USB.

    Grrr.
