Is there a mono/stereo switch?

I just purchased and SMH5. I had issues playing music, but after updating to the newest firmware and paired my phone again the music was working. Everything works, except that when I listen to music, I mostly hear it from the right speaker. I know both speakers work because I downloaded this "Virtual barber shop" app and I can hear from both speakers just fine. Everything else, even the welcome/bye messages seem to only play on the right speaker. If I turn up the music I can hear certain things playing from the left speaker. 

I'm using an HTC One M8. If there are any tips/suggestions I would love to hear them.

  I have this question and 
  Phone is able to charge on ANY charger I've given it so far: usb/computer, Garmin chargers, and a slew of other 12v car adapters. The only problem is the Sena 12v car adapters. They only work on the SMH10s and NONE of my other devices like car x street unlimited money ios. I agree with your conclusion that they're putting out a very low amperage - just enough for the SMH10 and my other usb devices need more. Too bad they can't be used globally, like all the other adapters I've tried.
