SMH10 Volume Difference Between Firmware Versions
FeaturedBased on customer feedback, it has been brought to our attention that there has been a decrease in the volume levels for stereo music and intercom after updating the firmware from v4.3 or below to v5.0 or above. If anyone has also experienced this change in the volume level, can you please describe your experience to us so that Sena can gather as much information as possible regarding this subject. Thank you.

I have experienced decreased volume with the latest update. I wear earplugs, and now can barely hear the speakers. Before update, I had no problem. Should I reinstall older software version?

Sena recommends a factory reset after a firmware update.
Factory Reset: This reset will clear the pairing history on your device.
1. To restore the SMH10 to factory default settings, press and hold the Phone Button for 12 seconds until the LED shows solid red and you hear double beeps. You will hear a voice prompt saying “Factory reset”.
2. Within 5 seconds, press the Jog Dial to confirm reset. The headset will be restored to factory setting and switched off automatically. You will hear a voice prompt saying “Headset reset, good-bye”.
After a Factory reset you need to re do the pairing and adjust the volume accordingly.
