Also, if you could clearly explain the functionality of the Jog Dial while in intercom mode, we would be able to use it for its intended purpose.

    Again, thanks

The quickest and less complicated for 4 SMH10 to intercom together is this. First, Sena recommends a factory reset after a firmware update. I would recommend it do delete all the pairing you have done. Please see the user guide on Factory Default Reset.

    Pairing:

    First pair A and B

    Second pair C and D

    Lastly, pair B and C

To start the 4 way intercom:

Single press the Jog Dial on A to connect with B.

Single press the Jog Dial on C to join A & B. You should now have a 3-way. Test the 3 way.

Last, single press the Jog Dial on D to join the 3-way between A, B & C. You should be in a 4 way.

When you ride, have A the lead, followed by B, C and D and the end.

Please tell me what the function of the Jog Dial is when in Intercom mode.

When you're not connected, pressing it does what?

When you are connected, pressing it does what?

When not connected tapping the jog dial will intercom with the last smh10 it was paired with. In the case between A and B, if you tap jog dial on A it will connect with B.

When already connected: tapping the jog dial on A will  terminate intercom connection with B.
