I don't understand your 'UPGRADE NOW!' instructions

There are 5 steps in the insert included with the SMH 10 to upgrade. #4 has me updating the firmware. #5 has me resetting the product to factory default setting. Why do I update the firmware only to reset it to factory default?

  Resetting the firmware on a Sena headset right after completing the update process does not affect the firmware. With that said, we recommend performing a Factory Reset on the headset and pairing it back to your devices again to prevent any issues from occurring between the headset and your Bluetooth device.
