SMH5 on Mac for firmware update. Not recognizing the devise.
No BlueTooth on my Mac, running 10.9.5 (Mavericks). I believe following problem is not related to Mac OS version.
Start "Sena BT Device Manager.
Connect SMH5 to USB. Recognized just fine. Firmware 2.0
Suggest to update. File 2.1 already downloaded for the other device. Not download. Browse disk-image v.2.1.
"Update". Asks to push-hold "Phone" button until msg disappears.
Done.
Could not "stat" device. Can not find a way around.
The other device, did same but on one time I ignored a message and kept working. Did reporte a problem. But it replaced the firmware to v2.1
Any help for the Mac welcomed.

Exact same problem. Did you receive any help from the support ?

To tell you the truth, I don't remember. I recall having a confirmation that my procedure was correct and that the problem arises only sometimes. I did go on ignoring error message and both units now have v2.1 working. Could not find a Windows to try, so no comment on that.

Try restarting your Mac, changing USB ports or cables, and Mapquest Directions ignoring the messages to see if the update completes.
