Pairing BT10 and SM10

What pairing method should I use on my BT10 to pair it to the SM10? Can I pair the BT10 to both a phone and the SM10?

  I got them to work by Using Media Selective Pairing to connect to the SM10 and Phone Selective Pairing to connect to the phone. It appears to work as expected with the phone getting priority over the music. I just need to test it out on the road next.
