Hey, Kenny.  It looks like you got a defective unit with a bad seal.  I've had my 10C in several downpours for various lengths of time and haven't had that issue.  Have you done a RMA on your unit?  If not, you should do so.

A little disappointing to me I've had mine 3 days and got caught in light rain this morning and noticed immediately that now all my videos are fogged over :(

Been inside for 3 hours in the A/C and its still looking the same so I guess moisture got inside it somehow though I don't see anything on the camera lense?

file named same.png is a sample of my video now, IMG_8582.jpg is a picture of the camera lense right now.

My 10c recently died, possibly as a result of moisture trapped inside that shorted something out. I shipped it back to Amazon and got a refund.

Maybe you ought to take Brandon's advice and RMA your 10c.

Kenny may I ask why you didn't decide to get a replacement instead of a refund?

Cycle gear is going to exchange the camera for a new one tomorrow, but is this a known problem with?

Just felt like trying a new setup, really. Currently using a GoPro Hero3+ with a Sena GP10 backpack, paired to an SMH-10.

    Pro:

    • 1080p at 60fps
    • Chin-mount gives a better view
    • Separate batteries, so using your camera doesn't drain the battery of your intercom

    Con:

    • It's a more expensive setup (especially since it's really recommended to use a 20s instead of an SMH-10)
    • The GoPro is immensely more cumbersome than a 10c

I haven't lost my faith in Sena, their gear is still top-notch. Some bad units do appear to slip past QC though. With any luck any manufacturing issues reveal themselves inside the warranty period, as they have for you and I.

I had this similar issue a few months ago and Sena was kind enough to replace the unit for me as it was under warranty. They reminded me that longer periods of rain obviously can cause issues. My personal fix for this has been to wrap some Gorilla tape around the rotateable lens portion of the camera. That's where water tends to seep in and although I don't have a product design background I'd imagine that's the issue. For what it's worth, I also carry a small ziploc around with some silica gel to toss the camera into for those times after riding in heavy downpour. It was able to fix the camera prior to Sena's RMA process.

All in all, I feel this is still the superior camera on the market with respect to reliability and longevity.
