Mine works with my mid 2007 iMac running 10.10.5, not smoothly but it does work.

Its not clear from your post but to get it recognized you DO NOT turn it on, instead once your have connected it and started the SBM you merely press and hold the PHONE button for 5 seconds and then follow the instructions. Usually, the first time through this the SBM will crash. When the crash report comes up click on RESTART and then SBM will operate normally and recognize the device.

To transfer the photos or movies to your computer you don't do it from the device. Take the card out and use a card reader to get the files. Be prepared for the picture file dates to be incorrect, i.e., way in the past. If you have chosen to write the date captions they will be correct but the file dates will still be wrong.

    Heya Jack

I've actually attempted both. Since the SBM doesn't mention turning on the device, I just left it off and did as you suggested. All I get is a spinning wheel "On recognizing device" that goes on indefinitely. Wondering if having the unit powered on would help, tried it that way too - "Failed to open USB" error.

I did pop the SD card, found a reader from a friend, and tried that and sure enough, that got me access to them. But really - for a supposedly cutting edge product, this is all pretty shabby.

    Gaz,

I agree... their software is flakey. But, 1.0.2 does fix the video tagging so it works now..

I was wrong about the date captions being correct they are wrong, too. Guess I spent too much time today reassembling my R1100S.

I'm really disappointed with this error. I tried everything for my Mac

I have a Macbook with Yosemite and I don't have this issue.

When you get to the device recognition part of the screen (see the screenshot),

    1.  you need to have a 32Gb or lower SD card in the 10C,

    2. power off the 10C,

3.and connect it in your USB port.

    4. press and hold the "phone" button on the 10c for 5 seconds. do not power on the 10C

    5. and then hit the NEXT button.

If you do not follow this sequence correctly it will not work.

Honestly, I just gave up. Was never able to have my Mac or Macbook recognize the 10c. So got a PC, and it went easy as pie.

And djj, I followed that exact sequence, as outlined in Sena's own directions, with absolutely no luck whatsoever. (And seems others have had the same issue.) Seems very much hit or miss.
