My Sena SMH10R recently started shutting down
During a recent road trip with lots of rain my SMH10R started shutting down during music play. During the rain it worked faultlessly. However during dry riding on last day and a full charge it just stopped during first song. No goodbyes no nothing. Would have to turn unit on again, start play, then again would shut down. Could do this for a few times then it would not respond.
I'm wondering if some water may have got into the battery connector and shorted battery out thus reducing life of battery. I always close up micro usb cover on back so I feel the unit is ok. Unit does start but fails quite quickly.
Have done fault resets, factory resets and also loaded latest software whilst I could get unit to stay powered. But still fails.
Anyone from Sena Support have any ideas re this issue? It does appear that this or similar issues are being experienced by others. Unit is out of warranty as I've had it a few years now. Thanks.

G'day Travis, I eventually got mine to work again faultlessly by doing the factory reset again. I think the software update helped as well. Maybe a bug had been fixed with the latest software update. So I would suggest, 1: factory reset, 2: software update, 3: factory reset again. Repair with Bluetooth device. C how go. Cheers. Note: I've had no input from Sena our help from Sena. Really don't think they care. Regards, Mike. 0 -
One more thing, I left my Sena charging for a few days as well. Even after fully charged, left it to remain charging for a few more days. Don't know of it helped but I now have prefect Sena comms. 0
