Have just used the system on a holiday to France and Spain with Garmin navigation. Pillion finds it frustrating that she can be talking to me and then the Garmin interupts with voice directions and she is not aware that the conversation has been interupted. Any way of advising the pillion of interuptions? Or allow the Garmin to speak to pillion and pilot.

Sena Thank you for your feedback. We will improve the intercom function to allow intercom conversation while not being interrupted by GPS instruction in the next firmware version. We will keep you informed later.

Alex That would be good but would suggest taking it a little bit further to let the pillion hear the turn-by-turn sat nav instructions as well. Unless they already can of course. Have't tested or checked if that is possible. I feel it would be helpful for the pillion to be aware of upcoming turnings/exits etc

Sena Thank you for your suggestion. We will do the feasibility study of making your pillion to be able to hear sat nav instruction. We will keep you informed later.

Malcolm Nicholson Sena, any further developments on this front on your comments of June 14th and June 18th?
Does the latest firmware v4.2 allow intercom conversation while not being interrupted by GPS voice instructions.
Is the solution to allowing the pillion to hear sat nav voice instructions to use the SM10?

nwinterbottom Any news on this? The last comment from Sena is June 2012?
I have just purchased dual SMH10R headsets and the way the Satnav integrates is frustrating when it overides the intercomm and the pillion cannot hear the satnav.
Any news on if this is still being looked at and when we will see something? - Thanks

Steven Jager I am curious too! A simple beep just before the GPS interrupts the conversation with the pillion would probably be sufficient. Even better would be to incorporate the option forthe pillion to listen to the same turn by turn GPS instructions as the pilot. Could be a bit safer also for the pillion now knows what's coming up.
Cheers!
