Media volume
I know, this has been discussed in a number of items before but with no real result
I've recently changed to a less noisy helmet (a Nolan N104) and am trying to use the in helmet speakers instead of earbuds. One reason is that the new helmet is so tight I cannot get it on with earbuds in, they get pulled out of my ears when putting the helmet on.
The helmet is not quiet enough that I can ride without earplugs so I use a set of molded ones. These are good and filter out the wind noise at 60-70 mph. These are necessary or my hearing will be damaged.
But, the audio output from the sena speakers is insufficient to hear clearly in all situations.
What I would like is just a little more volume. 10% would probably be sufficient. 20% probably better.
Is this possible?
thanks

We will get back to you after studying while! It is quite rare so far that our volume is not enough. Anyway, we will try to find out the solution. Thanks.

Perhaps it is a age thing, I'm 55 :-)
If I had a helmet that is quiet in the wind at 100kph and didn't need to wear earplugs to guard my hearing against the quite loud wind noise then the volume of the headset would be more than sufficient. The problem seems to be related to using flip face helmets that are generally quite a bit noisier in the wind.
Up to about 70-80kph (depending on conditions) there is sufficient volume and sometimes at 100kph there is but other times (cross winds, noisy other traffic, etc) there is just not quite enough volume to clearly hear voices (I listen to podcasts a lot). I used to use earbuds with my old helmet and there was plenty of volume then as well.
thanks.

An additional example of the problem.
I can usually hear the podcasts I listen too at 100kph if it is a still day. Rode to work on Thursday and there was a strong north wind blowing giving me a quite strong cross wind. I had to stop listening as I couldn't understand a word anyone was saying. Riding into the wind causes similar problems.
A bit more volume would solve this problem for me.

The most common complaint of the Sena appears to be insufficient volume when wearing earPLUGS (not earBUDS). I would hardly call this a "rare" complaint:
