3.5mm headphone jack adapter

SENA should make an adapter to go between the SMH5 unit and the headphones for such items as the CHEETAH Bluetooth audio system for motorcycles... I have one and am in the process of tapping into the wiring to make it work.   Sort of disappointed that SENA didn't anticipate such an interface....

  I use molded ear buds that block out the wind noise riding with a half helmet, they have built in speakers. I would like to use my SMH5 with that helmet/ear bud combination, but it seems the only option is using ear muffs. I live in Dallas and summer riding is quite hot, ear muff just are too hot. Isn't there an adapter to allow me to connect my own ear buds to the unit? Does the new 20 model allow for that? I could use an upgrade but this is a deal breaker for me.
