Charging indikator always blue?
Hi,
I recently bought a S20s double pack for our nex vacation. When I connect the sets to an USB charger, the LED is always blue, even when I have used the devices for 1 hour.
Now I am concerned if they charge at all. I thought, the LED should be red while charging an turn blue when finished. Since both devices behave the same way, it must be a software problem (usinf 1.1.1), but do the really charge?
Will I have unusable headsets once the run out of battery of is this just a glitch concerning the LED indicator?
Has anyone lese this problem with 1.1.1?
TIA
Wilhelm

We had just the opposite issue. We'd charge overnight from our motorcycle batteries and the light would still be red in the morning. We rarely saw a blue light on the charger. But in most cases, we used the units for up to 10 hours without running out of battery. One thing: When the Sena lady says "Battery level low", she really means it. She should be saying, "You have 30 seconds of battery left. Tell everyone goodbye quickly."

Thanks, what firmware are you using? I'm on 1.1.1 btw. I just tested leaving the radio on for several hours. After that the charging indicator stayed red for about 15 Minutes. So either it is not charging prperly or the indicator is just useless. We are going on a 2week trip next week. I am quite anxious the Senas will fail. Cheers 0 -
Well, it was early July when the four of us went on our trip. At the time, I guess it was release 1.0. Since then, I haven't used my 20S for long-duration riding. It has gone dead on me a few times when I forget to turn it off. Seems like it should have been in standby mode when left on down in the workshop with no Bluetooth near it; but it certainly doesn't last over one day before pooping out. I plug the charger into it and the next day, it has always shown a blue light. I don't know how long the light was red while charging.

I also, all of a sudden, no longer get a red light when I know it's been in use for hours. Both my units will shutdown by themselves, one has the 'won't lock issue' and CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN THE WORST OF ANY COMPANY IN ANY INDUSTRY THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. PERIOD.

Just purchased dual set manufacture 1114. I updated to firmware 1.3 (as per leaflet in pack) then put on the charge. Both units stayed red after overnight 12 hour charge using iPhone/ipad charging units. I do get 4 flashes when turning on meaning 70 plus% charged. I contacted Sena, impressed with speedy response (24 hours) suggesting alternative charger and factory reset. Did this and used charger cable supplied via my T Rocket III power supply. No change, lights still red. Sena (response within a few hours) says to go back to retailer for exchange units. I am in New Zealand and made purchase in Australia so a little inconvenient. I would like to try the units a bit more before doing this. So far I have been impressed with telephone calling, music and FM works very well with great volume all round. I have the units installed on Shoei Neotec. Anyone with any other ideas?

Update. New replacements received and units charged to full capacity within a few hours. Light changed from red to blue! Had a full day trip last weekend (2 up) with units on for approx. 6 hours. Mainly intercom use and a few phone calls. Units still 75% charged. Very impressed. Vary happy with Aussi agent in Perth, great communication by email and phone
