Someone playing the drums or popping popcorn?

You randomly get this. Sometimes just exiting intercom and joining again or restarting the devices fixes it, but most of the time you just have to endure. They recommend the antennae up but it has made on difference for me, even though I still ride with it up just to try and help it. It is just really frustrating and I hope they get this fixed as I was really excited to get my hands on one.

Yes, we tried the antennae up and down.  Made no difference.  Didn't expect it to.  We ride close together.  I can understand fading out and static when a rider goes out of range and how the antenna up will help that.  But this is different.  It isn't because of out of range.  It's some kind of switching noise in one or more of the units.  We even tried to determine which unit was causing it . . . . thought we had narrowed it down to one particular unit.  But subsequent trials proved that all four did it and none could be blamed independently.

Sometimes, it was so noisy that we turned the Senas OFF to get a rest from it.

The odd noises were those with a rhythm or or a repeatable tick tick tick (about 3 per second).   I, too, hope they can get this fixed as well.

OH, I almost forgot.  The day before the start of our trip, the four of us got together in my den to learn how to use Group Intercom.  Four of us sitting on couches inside the house with our helmets on must have looked pretty silly.  But we learned how to create and initiate group intercom.   The point of this thread is that even sitting still within a few feet of each other in a residence den and we got the loud  popcorn popping and loud static-like noise; same noises we heard on the trip.    SO, they should be able to experience this and make changes to make the units work properly without the annoying noises in their own facility.  It doesn't take being on a motorcycle.

We experienced this same problem with 3 20s. I was sure that someone in the group had a strap that was tapping the mic. 3 days of troubleshoot, but it must be from the unit. It only happens while we are in group mode with more then 2 people. All units fuction perfectly clear when only connected to another unit, but as soon as the 3 unit joins the tapping starts. Sometimes it is quite but most of the time it is incredibly annoying. Any solution to this sena tech support?

Exactly our experience,  Robert.  75% of the time in group connect, absolute perfection.  But when the popcorn or drum playing starts, there's no stopping it.  We even tried individual powering down and back up to see which of the four of us was playing the drums (or popping popcorn).  Totally inconclusive.  But after a while, it just quit on its own.

I really hope Sena finds and fixes this flaw.

we have this issue as well, but it happens in 1 to 1 or multiple 20s' it doesn't seem to matter. it's so annoying that sometimes we have to turn them off and just deal with not being able to talk to each other. it does not happen if we are not connected in intercom mode, only if we are connected. so it has to be in the intercom area of the device.

Please Sena, find a fix for this soon!
