Phone button & Drive or Car Mode
This is an FYI.
I found that, with the Samsung Galaxy S5, the phone drops into Car Mode, with a particularly heinous voice-operated interface. If you're using KitKat or Lollipop, use App Manager to disable Car Mode (long press the app name in All Apps, and press Disable in the resulting display) altogether. At that point, use the app Google, which is offered automatically as a default. it only tries to make phone calls, and disconnects altogether when finished. Google, the company, will try to cram you into Google Now. Whether you accept that or just use the basic phone function is your choice.
If you've rooted your phone, using Titanium Backup, you can freeze Car Mode, and unfreeze it if you're actually in a car. Without TI, go back to App Manager, use All Apps, and long press Car Mode to enable Car Mode.
There is an app called No-op Dock. It's a null (does nothing) app that's supposed to launch when coming to Car Mode. At least on the S5, it didn't work. I suspect it would have keep me from using the app Google, anyway. No recommended here.
