My outrush R won´t charge the battery

    I have exactly the same problem. Was in contact with Sena Support. They told me to update software. Question is if it is a firmware or battery problem as the update did not help. Sena do not support a change of the battery...and it is strange.

    the problem should be with the battery and like henry said try updating the software

    Charles Alexander. Do they offer you a new helmet? Or change battery?
    I ordered new battery on AliExpress but it's a long delivery time. My question is if battery from Sena 50 R will fit? Try do get info about the physical size as this is easier to find. And with better capacity.

    From the sounds of it they are replacing the helmet. I will post when I know for sure.

    I have the same issue. The clear answer, even though it doesn't help us, is do not buy any more Sena products. If they aren't going to offer a part as simple as a replacement battery. Clearly this is intentional so we have to purchase a new $300 helmet instead of a $25 replacement battery.

    Edit: October, 4, 2024 - I may have found a solution. I ran my battery completely dead, pulled it out of the helmet, let it set for 30 min, then put it back in the helmet. It has been charging normally ever since. It's only been a couple days so I don't know if it will continue to work long term but so far so good.

    Same issue, replace the battery with new, just drained it flat, now won't charge either. Cable is fine (red charge light on so connected, but won't charge).

    Tried to update software but won't recognise unit. May need to try another brand, as this is really annoying (as one month now without comms working!

    Any ideas welcome??
