Spider ST-1 battery drain when off

Official comment
if the battery is draining while its off, that means the internals of the battery have dried up and can no longer hold it's charge. this is common behavior in lithium batteries that are not properly cycled, although not common knowledge, but usually you'd want the batter to drain to 0%/dead in order to reset it's life cycle which increase battery life.
please respond to the ticket that was created with an image of your deice serial number on the back of the unit and i'll see what can be done.

Are you saying that 2 Sena units in a row have dried up battery internals.. one lasted less than a day and this one is about 1 year old. Can I send the serial number at this point to continue with hopefully getting this addressed under warranty soon? There has been no real action from the last agent after they received the proof of purchase date and gave me more steps for updates and resets that I did and reported back

It really isn’t feasible to go on a 10-12 hour ride every time I go out to deplete the battery fully every time I use my headset without turning it off between uses… I don’t really buy that explanation as every other device with a lithium battery like other Bluetooth devices are able to power back up and pick up where they left off. Even my $20 jlab headphones can be depended on to do this and they are much older than this headset. For spending over $200 on this Sena I would have hoped I could depend on it to work on more than just one drive to a destination- almost every time this year I have ended up just using my old headphones for the drive home because the Sena won’t power on when I go to leave the place I drove to

I know this is an old post, but fid you ever resolve it? Mine has battery issues too...I can plug it in to charge ( and is working fine at that time) then when I take it off the charger a few hours later, it's completely dead, won't turn on or recharge?
