Sena SC2 (50R) & GMRS Radio Bluetooth Pairing
Has anyone successfully paired a Bluetooth enabled GMRS radio to the Sena SC2 as found on the Schuberth C5 helmet?
I found a thread here where someone used a Sena SR10 to do it, but the SR10 has been discontinued by Sena.
I found another thread that suggested it was possible to pair the radio using Second Mobile Phone Pairing, but hadn't actually gotten it to work.
My riding partners all use GMRS radios because Bluetooth based intercoms don't have the necessary range. Seems like it would be a pretty popular feature, but it's not covered very well by the SC2 User Guide, and not much turns up in a general Google search.
I'm trying to avoid purchasing a GMRS radio only to find out it doesn't work.
TIA,
Scot

Crickets. I was afraid of that.
In the mean time, I ran across a company called Baofeng that makes a staggering number of two way radios. One of them, the GMRS-PRO, is claimedd by their tech support people to pair via Bluetooth to motorcycle comm systems. It does this through their BS-PTT Bluetooth push to talk button that relays Bluetooth helmet comms to and from the BMRS-PRO radio. Just curious if anyone has tried this.
Here's a link to the GMRS-PRO radio:

Here's a bit more information.
It seems that the Baofeng Bluetooth PTT uses the HFP protocol. Does anyone here know if that protocol is compatible with the Bluetooth used by the SC-2?

I'm attempting to do this now with no joy. Well, I can get them to connect but there is a terrible lag and drop off with both the transmission and receipt to the point it is not usable. I was hoping to use this over the weekend but haven't gotten it yet.

Could you be a little more specific about the make and model number of the GMSR radio you're trying to pair with the SC2?
Is it the BTECH GMSR-Pro with the BS-PTT?
My BTECH GMSR-Pro should get here this morning; the BS-PTT was delivered yesterday.0 -
Below is what I'm working with:
This is the BTECH GMRS-Pro: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4BLZ67Z?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
And this is the BS-PTT: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C2DH24FJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
And I'm working with the Shuberth EC2 with the Schuberth SC2 with the most recent firmware.
You seem to have a bit more tech savvy on this front, so you may be able to figure it out, I've come up short.
One issue I'm also encountering in addition to the lag, is that it seems every time the radio does anything that would use the speaker, the SC2 says it reconnects. On the GMRS-Pro side, I do have the flag "Keep Connected Keep Bluetooth Device Connected" ON: Checked. I thought this would be it, but it didn't help me.
Let me know if you have any luck.

I'm curious if you were able to get this to work.
