Recurring Loud Tone on Sena SF2 with Firmware 1.2.1
Hello Sena Community,
I am experiencing a recurring issue with my Sena SF2 device running firmware version 1.2.1. While riding, a loud tone keeps occurring at irregular intervals. The tone is similar to the sound made when the device powers on and establishes a Bluetooth connection with my smartphone.
Here are the details of my setup:
- Device: Sena SF2
- Firmware Version: 1.2.1
- Connected Device: Samsung S24 with OsmAnd or Calimoto (no additional connections)
Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a solution? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I think what is happening is the mic gate is opening and is thinking you are trying to tell it something, by default voice activated phone answering is enabled, so you can disable that and see if the issue re-occurs. you can also adjust the vox Sens to level 1 as well to see if that stop the beeping.

Thank you for your answer. I guess it's the 3rd option "VOX Telefon" in the german menu. I already deactivated it with no effect.

Such tones might occur due to interference, connectivity problems, or incorrect settings. To troubleshoot, consider updating to the latest firmware version, as newer updates often address bugs of अंडे का रेट and improve performance. Additionally, verify all connections and settings to ensure they are configured correctly.

Thank you for your continued assistance.
I’ve followed your suggestions and conducted extensive testing.
- Firmware Update: As you recommended, I've re-installed the latest firmware (1.2.1) using the Device Manager, even though it was already installed.
- Settings: I've disabled almost all settings (including VOX phone and Advanced Noise Control) and set the VOX sensitivity to 1. I can provide screenshots of my current settings if needed.
Results: Unfortunately, the issue persists. There are times when the loud tone occurs every few minutes for hours, and other times when there's no tone at all for extended periods. The battery has always been well-charged (>80%) during these tests.
I've noticed that the behavior seems to be determined right after I power on the headset. I can't find any differences in connectivity between the times when the tone occurs frequently and when it doesn't. The headset is always connected for both audio and phone calls.
Given the persistent nature of the problem and the time I've spent troubleshooting, I'm afraid I've reached the end of my patience. I would like to return the headset. Could anyone please advise me on the return process?
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
