Sena SF2 connect to phone as media App crashes on Android14
I changed my phone recently to a google pixel 7 android 14 to use it with my SF2
I can connect via the bluetooth but the phone is connected a Media, not as phone.
So I can play music but not receive any call.
I updated the firmware to 1.2.1 (on the PC)
When I launch the newly installed Sena Motorcycle app on the pixel it cannot see the sena SF2, it keeps reloading/refreshing sometimes the SF2 specs appears then disapears. Then crashes.
I tried to uninstall/re-install Same thing happens.
Help please

Recently, some Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro users have reported several issues after updating to Android 14. One of the most significant problems involves Bluetooth connectivity. Users have experienced frequent disconnections, audio playback glitches, and difficulties maintaining connections with Bluetooth devices, including car systems and headphones. This issue is not isolated to specific devices or apps but seems to be a broader problem affecting various Bluetooth accessories.
Additionally, there have been reports of random app crashes and system instability. Some apps have been crashing unexpectedly, and in certain cases, the phone might even restart on its own. These issues seem to be tied to underlying bugs in Android 14 that affect how the system interacts with Bluetooth and certain apps.
I know your device is new, but a lot of folks have done full resets of their phones and somehow resolves it self. -

Hi, had the same issue, I may have found a workaround on my pixel8a
Upgraded phone to android 15.
Deleted the bluetooth device named 'SENA xx'.
Went back to the pairing menu, and waited till seeing a NOA04 (or similar) device in the phone bluetooth menu, and associated my phone with it. The sena device showed and associated automatically. Then I got the phone and the media in my helmet.
Hope it helps ...

Dear Alex - Sena Support,
I did what you say after my first post, that means reset the phone, even if the phone was on android 15 allready.
It took a hell of a long time to re-install all my stuff.
And actually it didn't change nothing I still can't connect the app to the device. The app keeps refreshing every 5 seconds, and sometimes crashes!
The bluetooth is connected, I can play musicand listen to it, but the phone and google is not available.

Hi. I have a similar issue with a Sena 5S. After upgrading to android 15 on a Sony Xperia 1 VI, my communicator connects to the phone only as a media device, but the connection is not stable, it keeps resetting. The connection to my old phone still works. When connecting with "selective phone pairing", it works, but the Sena App won't start. It looks like there is a problem with Android 15. The latest firmware for my device is 2 years old (and installed). I did reset my device to factory defaults, no change. I won't factory reset my phone, as it's complicated to reinstall all I need, it's really not an option. I had two firmware updates on my phone, problem is still there. Any other BT devices work.
