Reducing wind noise while riding a motorcycle is complex and influenced by several factors, including your helmet, the type of motorcycle, your riding position, and even the weather conditions on a given day.

Generally, motorcycles with tall wind screens are the most effective at deflecting wind, thereby reducing noise. However, naked bikes, which lack wind screens, often produce minimal wind noise because the wind tends to bounce off your torso before reaching your helmet. In contrast, sport bikes with aggressive forward-leaning positions tend to generate the most wind noise, at least in my experience.

Given the multitude of factors at play, it's important to consider various strategies to mitigate wind noise. Using a deadcat filter, instead of a standard foam filter, or opting for a specialized mic cover can help reduce the impact of wind noise on your audio recordings.

Hmmm, to answer my own question - after a bit of thinking, SPH10 should not be too good in a noisy environment, and neither would be the Expand. For talking next to a motor I probably need something with ear mufflers, in the first place.
