Not sure about your 50B, but voice command on my 20B can be opened two ways. One, tap center button and (-) button at same time then speak command. Or speak "Hello Sena" to command your phone which should already be connected and set to Voice Access to receive in the Accessibility Mode.

Thanks for the feedback, but what is the command to initiate a phone call in this case?

It says "Hey Sena", but then what are the words to initiate a call to the registered number?

Thank you for reaching out regarding your HJC 50B intercom. I understand you'd like to use voice commands to make a quick call.

The HJC 50B (based on Sena 50R functionality) does not have a dedicated voice command specifically for dialing a predefined number. However, here are the options you can use to make a call:

    1. Using Voice Commands with a Paired Smartphone:

      • If your smartphone supports a voice assistant (e.g., Siri for iOS, Google Assistant for Android), you can activate it via the intercom by saying:
        "Hey Siri" or "OK Google"
      • Once the assistant is active, you can say commands like:
        • "Call [Contact Name]."
        • "Dial [Phone Number]."
    2. Manual Calling via the Headset Buttons:

      • You can manually operate the headset buttons to make a call, but this requires navigating through the device's menu and may involve more steps than desired for a quick call.

If you frequently call the same person, you could set up a speed-dial number in the Sena Utility App for quicker access. Unfortunately, activating speed-dial also requires button input rather than voice activation.

    Follow-Up Question:

    • To better assist you, can you clarify if you’ve already paired your smartphone with the intercom? If so, are you able to access your voice assistant using the method above?

Let us know if you encounter any difficulties or need further assistance.

    Hello,

It's a shame that a voice command can't launch the speed dial. My old Cardo used to do this and it was much simpler...

My phone is indeed paired with my Sena, but Google is deactivated because it launches itself otherwise and it's very annoying.

I already have the phone number I'm interested in on Speed Dial 1.

I just need to work out how to launch it when I'm driving (i.e. other than by voice, it's a real shame that Sena doesn't do it directly without going through Google or Siri).

Thank you for your feedback. I understand your concerns regarding the inability to launch Speed Dial directly via a voice command on the HJC 50B (Sena 50R), especially when compared to your previous experience with Cardo.

Since you prefer not to enable Google Assistant to avoid unwanted interruptions, using the physical button for Speed Dial is the most straightforward alternative. While it may not match the simplicity of direct voice commands, it provides a reliable method without requiring smartphone integration.

To further assist you, could you clarify:

    1. Are you comfortable using the button sequence for Speed Dial, or do you find it challenging during rides?
    2. Have you encountered other usability issues with the HJC 50B that we could address to improve your experience?
    3. Would you consider enabling Google Assistant or Siri temporarily for calls if we provide guidance on minimizing unnecessary activations?

Your feedback is valuable, and we’re committed to improving the user experience. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can assist with.

I don't know the button sequence to start a speed dial, but I guess I should be able to do it while driving.

I can perfectly well activate google Assistant and try the method you recommend.

The HJC 50B, equivalent to the Sena 50R, offers voice commands for various functions, including answering calls and activating the intercom. However, initiating a quick call to a specific number via voice command isn't directly supported. To make a call, you can use the speed dial feature by assigning numbers through the SMART HJC BT App or manually on the device. Once set, you can initiate these calls by pressing designated buttons on the headset. For detailed instructions, refer to the user manual or the SMART HJC BT App

    Hello,

I have defined the number in the quick call list (3 numbers are possible)

But no voice command launches the number, either “dial” or “call”. I activate the voice command with “Hey Sena” before launching the “call” or “dial” command.

You'd think they'd deactivated the speed dial voice command on the HJC model ????

It's completely useless, I don't understand the point because the speed dial is really useful.

    Best regards,
