R2evo and R2
I have a mesh R2 Evo and an R2 can they be paired together?

Hello Cindy,
Unfortunately, the Sena R2 and R2 Evo cannot be paired directly together due to their different communication technologies.R2 Evo uses Mesh Intercom, which is a newer and more advanced communication system allowing a larger group of riders to communicate over a wider range and with greater reliability.
R2 uses Bluetooth Intercom, which is a more basic communication system limited in range and the number of connected users.
Pairing Limitations:
Mesh Intercom on the R2 Evo is not backward compatible with Bluetooth Intercom on the R2, as the two systems operate on different protocols.
You can pair the R2 Evo with other Mesh-compatible devices (like the Sena 50S or Sena 30K), but it will not work with the R2.
Possible Solutions:
Use Bluetooth: If you need to communicate with the R2, you could connect it with another Bluetooth-enabled device (like the Sena 20S or Sena 10S).
Upgrade the R2: If you want to enjoy Mesh features, upgrading the R2 to a R2 Evo or another Mesh-capable Sena model would allow you to take full advantage of the improved intercom range and stability.
Conclusion:
The R2 Evo and R2 cannot be paired together because of their different communication technologies (Mesh vs. Bluetooth). You would need to either upgrade the R2 to a Mesh-capable device or use a Bluetooth intercom for communication between the two. Let me know if you'd like further help with this!0 -
