    Hey Ziver,

Thanks for reaching out! If you're unable to update the firmware of your SRL3 using the Wi-Fi dongle and the Sena app, here's a troubleshooting guide to help resolve the issue:

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for SRL3 Firmware Updates

    1. Confirm Firmware Version

    • Check if your SRL3's current firmware version (1.2) is the latest available. Occasionally, the app may display a notification for an update even if none exists.

    • Visit the official Sena firmware updates page to verify if there’s a newer firmware version for the SRL3.

    2. Reset the Wi-Fi Dongle

    • If the Wi-Fi dongle isn't recognizing the firmware update:

      1. Reset the Wi-Fi dongle by holding its reset button for 10-15 seconds.

      2. Reconfigure the Wi-Fi connection by reconnecting the dongle to a stable network using the Sena Utility app or the Sena Wi-Fi Accessories app.

      3. Try updating again by connecting the SRL3 to the Wi-Fi dongle via the charging cable.

    3. Ensure Correct Update Process

Follow these steps to update using the Wi-Fi dongle:

    1. Connect the Wi-Fi dongle to power.

    2. Pair the SRL3 with the Wi-Fi dongle using the USB cable.

    3. Open the Sena Wi-Fi Accessories app (not the standard Sena Utility app).

    4. Check for updates through the app while the helmet is connected to the dongle.

    4. Update via Sena Device Manager (PC or Mac)

If the Wi-Fi dongle still does not detect updates:

    1. Download and install the Sena Device Manager from Sena's website.

    2. Connect the SRL3 to your PC or Mac using the provided USB cable.

    3. Launch the Device Manager and follow the on-screen instructions to check for and install firmware updates.

    5. Common Issues and Fixes

    • Wi-Fi Dongle Not Detecting Update: This may happen due to outdated dongle firmware. Ensure the dongle firmware itself is up-to-date using the Sena Wi-Fi Accessories app.

    • Sena App Miscommunication: The app may incorrectly report an update due to a bug. Double-check with the Sena Device Manager for confirmation.

    If the Problem Persists

    • Contact Sena Support:

      • Provide details such as:

        • SRL3 serial numbers.

        • Screenshots of the firmware version displayed in the app and the dongle.

        • A description of the issue and troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried.

      • Ask for confirmation on whether firmware version 1.2 is indeed the latest for the SRL3.

    • Exchange/Return:

      • If neither the app nor the device manager recognizes updates and support cannot resolve the issue, consider returning or exchanging the units under warranty.

Let me know if you need further assistance with contacting support or navigating the Sena tools!

    Hello,

    1. Confirm Firmware Version

    - There is v1.3 for srl3 on your webpage. I am adding ss from the app that shows there is an update.

    2. Reset the Wi-Fi Dongle

    - I already tried to reset but nothing changed.

    3. Ensure Correct Update Process

    - I am using an android phone. there is only an app called Sena Motorcycles App. What are Sena Wi-Fi Accessories app or Sena Utility app?

    4. Update via Sena Device Manager

    - I have not tried this procedure yet but I think I should be able to update the product with the dongle in its own package.

    5. Common Issues and Fixes

    - Wi-fi dungle had been updated to v2.7 already.
