Spider ST1 Sp88 vs Sp105 No Updates?
Hello Sena-community,
today I got the information that there are 2 different versions of the Spider ST1 (Sp88 and Sp105). Spoke to the support today, Sp88 is an older model of the Spider and since they didn't want to create a new product they just made the new Version with the same name Spider ST1.
The Sp105 just recently got a Firmware update V2.3 with the new Mesh3.0. Since the Mesh3.0 and Mesh2.0 isn't compatible, the new Version basically has more functions than the old one. Nowhere on the dealer-pages I could find whether Sp88 or Sp105 is being sold.
Even on my product box, it says Spider-ST1-10D. Accordingly, to Sena's Firmwarepage this should be the newer version but inside were Sp88 ones.
Am I the only one that is affected by this lack of transparency?
In my honest opinion, either both models should receive updates the same or an upgrade or exchange option should exist.
For the RT model this might be the same thing.

Is it possible your dealer did a warranty return and simply stuffed the old SP88's in your SP105 box?
