That’s annoying then 😂. I thought it could have been that. I can Bluetooth pair but the app just will not connect at all.

Yes, that's exactly how it is for me too. Bluetooth works, but then it fails in the app and won't connect there.

Does anyone from Sena respond here or is it just us trying to work this out? I took the plunge buying this cos I thought it would be better than the Chinese cheap ones the guys I ride with are waiting on my testing it first 😂.

Same issue here on Android. It connects via bluetooth just fine but the app doesn't recognize it.
Have tried it on my old phone with an older app version and it worked flawlessly, after updating it also stopped working.
Therefore I assume it's a bug in the app. According to the reviews & comments on google play, Sena is aware of that and working on a fix - since over 2 weeks at least :|

I’ve raised this with the online chat assistant to be looked into as looks like a wider issue

I’ve been extremely disappointed with it to be honest. First day of having it this app stopped working then the day I was going on my first group ride with non Sena users the wave app stopped working for me too.
