Request Wave Intercom Compatiblity with Apple Car Play and Android Auto
Currently, Wave intercom is not compatible with "Motorcycle in the Middle" configurations - see diagram below.
The Wave app holds the phone microphone on which is higher priority than music and other inputs resulting in nothing else being able to be heard.
Having ACP and AA capability will enable wave to use the headset mic which should result in normal intercom prioritization. It would also allow riders to turn on and turn off the Wave intercom via the motorcycle and see other riders locations via the motorcycle's display.

Yes, this is badly needed to make the Wave app functional on the Honda Gold Wing.

I agree with Richard's post above to make the Sena function much better with Honda Goldwings. Mesh should be the primary for intercom and Wave as a backup. Also independent volume controls for the different features.

It would be amazing to have this feature enabled. I would love to hook it up to my Goldwing with wave and both my headsets. Also independent volume control between music and intercom would be the best.

Was wondering about this issue as i’ve just purchased a 60S….if the headset is connected to Goldwing and not the iphone, would we be able to use Wave….please make an update to the 60S to allow this feature to work….thank you

With the current onslaught of ACP/AA devices (AOOCCI, Carpuride, Chigee etc) this feature would be a must.

CarPlay / android auto is essential in the uk as it is illegal to use a mobile device while driving or riding but it is legal to use a fixed unit. Adding riders or reconnecting could be done while riding if wave was on the carplay/android auto unit.

+1 for Android Auto. Headunits are quickly becoming popular, and AA support makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for highlighting this issue. I agree that the phone mic taking priority over other inputs can be frustrating in 'Motorcycle in the Middle' configurations. Enabling ACP and AA support to switch to the headset mic makes sense and should resolve the priority problem. Plus, controlling the Wave intercom via the motorcycle and seeing rider locations on the display would be a huge plus for group riding. Looking forward to seeing how Sena addresses this in future updates!
