SMH10-10 - poor audibility from the device microphone to a phone
Hello,
I recently purchased two Sena SMH10-10 devices which I intend to use for communication with my partner (for arborist tree cutting).
The audio quality when talking with another SMH10-10 device is quite good. However, if I communication through my phone which is paired to my Sena via Bluetooth, the other person can barely hear my voice through their phone. At the same time, I can hear this person clearly. So, it seems that Bluetooth communication to my phone works well, since I can receive good-quality incoming audio from the phone into the Sena speaker, but the audio from the Sena microphone is poor.
I have several questions:
1) Why is this happening? Is it possible to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone for communication with my paired phone?
2) Is there a way to connect the phone to SMH10 using a wire instead of Bluetooth? If so, will this improve the audio quality from the Sena microphone?
3) This is unrelated to the 2 questions above. When mounting SMH10-10 clamp unit to an arborist helmet, there is about 2-3 cm between the microphone and the mouth (so the microphone is not close enough to the mouth). Is it possible to purchase a separate boom microphone (which is part of SMH10-11 kit, for example) and connect it to SMH10-10? Or is the microphone boom fixed to the unit?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Stanislav
