Aux input being retransmitted

I've been using a 20s with BT link to a smartphone and Garmin Zumo.  I have a radar detector hardwired into the aux port.  If I'm on a call or linked to other riders with headsets they hear the radar detector alert.  Not me.  If I'm not on a call or linked I hear the alert through the speakers.

Is there a setting to govern this?  Since I can't get all three devices to work via bluetooth (even using an SM10), is there a setting that would keep this from happening?
