I get your point. So let's look at 5 scenarios with your requirement of GPS and Phone. You will need a way to listen, and a way to give commands.

    1. Stock set up. Everything works. Though there is a current bug in system where you can't hear audio through headphones, unless you unplug and replug main harness after device has been powered on.

    2. Stock setup with Bluetooth. You would need a BT transmitter with BT headphones. Two more things to keep charged and you need to mount the Transmitter and find BT headphones that fit well in your ear and under the helmet. Preferably ones with a wire in between them, to avoid them flying out when helmet comes off. Transmitters are not small. They are not small

    3. In pocket. You would need two make two long leads/extensions. One for headphones and one for microphone. Changing out the proprietary connectors. The you would have to reach in your pocket to hit a button.

    4. In pocket with bluetooth. Same as above but with BT transmitter in pocket, and only one long lead for microphone.

    5. Ditch the sena all together and use a bluetooth headphones under. That way you cut out the middleman.

I wouldn't call #1 a bug, its just the way it works.  Forget #2, its overly complicated.  #3 doesn't need two cables, just one using the same connectors has the current cable from your helmet to the unit, and one of of the remote control options can be used to respond to incoming/outgoing calls.  I think this is solved by simply having a 1 meter extension cable between the 10C unit and the headset/mic using the same connectors as those used currently.  Could probably make one myself if I knew where to get their connectors.  Can a Sena moderator chime in here?  Is there anything we can do here?
