Reading the announcement about the new HD speakers, they claim it works for the 20S...and the SRL2 is basically a 20S. Anyone know whether these new ones will work?

Just emailed the support desk.  Will post here if they give an answer.

Thanks for starting this discussion. Once available, count me in for 2 upgrades. Looking forward to Sena's comment.

From Sena's Help Desk:  "Unfortunately, the HD speakers are only available for 30k, 20s and 20S evo. This is a good recommendation and we will inform our Research and Development team about this. Hoping in the future we can make a HD speakers for SRL."

Thanks for following this through. Sad, though. Le sigh...

You can add a audio jack output to your system to use earbuds reducing wind noise and improving speaker volume.  That's abt the only thing I can think of since you can't just pair a set of bluetooth earbuds despite the system being bluetooth. But yeah, after a $1000 investment in the Sena and the lid, I'm beyond annoyed at the lack of quality in the speakers, short battery life, inability to charge while using and lack of universal mesh.  For $300, better audio tech is already out there - it just doesn't fit seamlessly in my new lid...sigh...

...just keep in mind - adding an audio jack would most likely void your warranty.

I often find when using the GPS navigation on my phone, via bluetooth and the SRL2 / Neotech, that the volume mysteriously drops to a level that is inaudible and I then can't navigate on the freeway or anywhere else.  The volume will not respond to taps on the + button on the helmet.  Anyone else have this issue?    It sometimes does this with music too.

I emailed Sena before I got it. Got 4 replies that there isnt a HD speaker for the SLR2.

I just got it and at first the volume was crap but I downloaded the latest firmware and bumped up all the volume settings and now its super loud and clear.

I've seen it toggle to a lower volume when connecting and taking/making calls is too loud but it didtn take much fiddling to get it all right again.

This is all a config issue, not hardware inadequacy. I compared my Airpods pro and these and this is louder and almost as clear.

I am completely fine with this.

Actually giving an option to upgrade would be best they can do. Please fix this or I will have to buy from someone else.

If the sound is too tinny, go into the Sena app on your phone and turn *off* "Audio Boost". Audio Boost improves the sound of voices in helmets but makes music sound crap.

If your music volume is too low, go into the Sena app on your phone and make sure that Smart Volume control is on High. If that still isn't enough, make sure the volume on your *phone* is turned up.
