I haven't done that long of a ride, but maybe around 8 or 9 hours. I think maybe at around 9 hrs when I first heard the low battery warning but was able to finish my ride with the 50S still working.

Is the powerbank plugged in while you're using/riding the 50S? I'm wondering if thats the issue.

Sena pushed a new firmware earlier this week, v1.0.3. No release notes to go with it on same day, expect to see that at least 2-3 weeks later. Already within 30 days they've pushed 3 firmware updates so it doesn't surprise me there are still issues. Like many others we seem to be beta testing their stuff rather than it being rock solid once released. I think this will be my last Sena product.

The first time I lost communication the phone was not plugged into a Powerbank.

Maybe Sena will get the bugs worked out with these units like they have done with earlier models.

I find that manufacturers are always in a bind when releasing new products. They can do all the testing necessary and release a outdated product or they can do most of the testing and release a current product. I was in the office product business and that was always a trade off.

I was out for about 5 hours yesterday with my 50s and still have 70% charge left based on what the phone app says.  No issues with dropping the connection to my phone, but I did have a stop along the way where I shut down and restarted a few minutes later.  This is on the newer 1.0.3 firmware.

My unit seems to struggle with battery life in comparison to the others in my group. 5:30 and she is shutting down where the others are just getting low battery warnings. I'm going to fiddle with some settings to see if I can make it last longer. I'm on mesh with music and GPS directions, but last time I disabled BT on the Zumo so she wasn't so intrusive.

Mike, can you tell us your preference on zumo and iPhone paring with the 50s? Is the zumo paired as second phone or gps? Do you have music control on the zumo? Thanks man, ride safe.

I sold my bike and Zumo. Now I run with just the BMW connected app (no GPS) but there is a connection to the TFT dash. Phone connected to TFT, Sena to TFT as phone 1 and to my iPhone as phone 2. Will test battery life when I can get out on a long ride, but I suspect I have a dud. I bought a pair (2 in a box) and the other one gets nearly double the battery life.
