Sena Prism Tube Wifi records muffled sound

I have a Schuberth C4 Pro with an internal BT setup. I don't want to hassle with an internal mic to record so I can easily install and remove the camera when not in use, hence the reason I purchased the Prism Tube Wifi. Unfortunately I get no audible sound from my videos, just a muffled wind like noise as if something were blocking the internal microphone. I checked the pinhole where the mic is and nothing is blocking it. Please, does someone have a solution? I've tried updating firmware and also using different media players to include VLC.
