Phone loses GPS signal only when paired with Sena

I have an SMH10 and a samsung S7. I can use GPS connected to the bluetooth in my car with no problems but whenever I connect to my Sena I lose GPS signal as soon as I leave my house. It's really frustrating because GPS is the reason I bought the Sena. Anyone else have this problem?

  That really is strange.  If you are riding down the road and you shut off the sena while riding, does the GPS signal fire right up and give you a location on your phone?
