Private Communication while also on mesh
I'm trying to convert 29 road captains from CB radios to Sena Mesh 2.0. Many of them like to talk with their wives on the bike while also (currently) getting updates on their CB radios from other road captains. The inability to easily switch between open mesh to private intercom will prevent me from converting these guys. Why not allow the simple Bluetooth intercom to be switched on and off with the side toggle switch (temporarily disabling the mic for mesh 2.0 but allowing them to still hear the mesh 2.0 while the private conversation is ongoing. Then the mesh 2.0 mic could be switched back on by a simple press of the jog dial.

Hi Michael. Thank you for product suggestion as we will pass it along to our developers for their consideration. With that said, private communication while on Mesh is currently possible just not in the way you suggested. You can switch Mesh channels by double-tapping the Mesh Intercom Button to enter the Channel Setting menu, rotate the Jog Dial to a different channel and then tap the Jog Dial once to select that channel. Otherwise, an easier method would be to setup a Closed Mesh with someone where you can switch between an Open Mesh channel or the Closed Mesh by holding down the Mesh Intercom Button for 3 seconds or use the voice command "Hey Sena. Open Mesh / Closed Mesh" if the headset supports the "Hey Sena" voice command system. Switching between channels is also possible through our smartphone apps.

My suggestion is a different approach. We need to be able to monitor the mesh road captain channel but mute the mesh mic while there is intercom private conversation going on. This allows the road captain to talk to his wife but be ready to resolve any issues on the road captain mesh that might come up by quickly switch the mesh mic on.

I just made a similar request. Thanks for the work-around. That helps, but does not provide the full functionality I hope for. While switching channels, I might miss an important call from the sweep person what someone was down. Ideally, I would be able to listen to the mesh and the passenger at the same time. When the passenger speaks, only I would hear it. When I speak I would have to toggle, or by some means, be able to select to whom I an going to speak-- the passenger or the mesh. As a pilot, I am used to having the cockpit mic hot to the other pilot, but do a push to talk button to speak to air traffic control. Can you please do something like that for us? Thanks.
