Failed to recognize device. Cannot open USB

I had this same issue, I tried 2 different generic cables, solved it using the original sena provided cable.

  Thanks for the suggestion; I tried this as well and it worked for me.

  For my R1 bicycle helmet, the original cable has a 90 degree turn between the wire and the micro-USB plug (if this helps anyone identify their original amongst the draw full of cables we may have!).
