I'm nothing to do with Sena, just an end-user myself.

I've bought the SF4 (BT only) but haven't used it yet.

My comment is not gonna help you; but I do believe that ever since businesses saw that the general population ACCEPTED the beta software coming out of M$, software companies were HAPPY to continue releasing beta software to their customers.  I've used all sorts of software, from virtually all versions of Windows, Mac for a bit, was using DOS back then.  I've used Linux & OpenSource software like Open Office, now Libre Office.  ALL software goes through a pain-staking dev growth... first buggy rubbish cobbled together, then more polished, then added features, etc.

Its basically business... Get money from your customers asap, even if it means giving them "best efforts" software.  When its NOT a business such as Libre Office & Linux, the dev life cycle is also there, but people are more patient bc they're not paying for it.

Linux desktop used to be AWEFUL.  I've used/tried Ubuntu desktop more recently, Linux desktop has come a LONG WAY.  But even then, perhaps not as polished as Mac, or later versions of Windows.

I'm new to the motorcycle comms market.  How long has Sena been around?

I think Sena has  been around at least 10 maybe 12 years I am guessing based on my knowledge . They have not been around longer then Cardio . It’s just frustrating to have same issues over and over=.

Right now I'm frustrated bc I will prob have to upgrade from an SF4, prob to the 30k.  I bought the SF4 when I bought my helmet, a very naive purchase.  Didn't take long doing my internet research ab Sena, & browsing this forum, to see that I bought an "older" device.

I used to learning my way through tech, & (paying to) upgrade to something better.  200 euros which I prob won't be using lol.

Since you seem to be on the forum now, can you answer my other post... question about bluetooth vs mesh comms?

When I ride with just one other guy we always use Bluetooth mesh supposedly uses more juice and we’re very happy on Bluetooth the problem with Bluetooth is you can’t get HD on intercom but it doesn’t bother us it’s fine the way it is but if you’re going to use mesh you better ask somebody else cause I’ve never used it Bluetooth is just fine for us
