Be patient on the initial pairing up. It sometimes can take 30 seconds or so to make the initial hook-up. Once it does then disconnecting and connecting only takes a second or two from either device

Did you do a factory reset after the update??? Try doing that as well as a fault reset then try and re-pair

See if this works. Do a fault reset followed by a factory reset then re-pair. I've had my unit go buggy once and this fixed it.
