Update: The fix is to disable "navigation app support" in the Sena app. My thanks to the person that made another post similar to mine in 2015 and made this discovery.

I LOVE YOU! I was experiencing this problem with my bluetooth music streaming from my iPhone. Disabling "navigation app support" totally fixed the issue. Thanks for sharing this!
