Hello,
Sorry you are experiencing bad audio quality, one factor that most people overlook is speaker placement in your helmet, even though these are specifically made for the Shoei helmets, the helmet themselves are not one size fit all type deal. i would try your best to ensure they are centered to your ear canal and as close as possible.
as a personal recommendation using ear plugs actually will help clarity of the sound as well. weird, but it works.

Similar experience for me too - The SRL3 is not as clear as my SRL2 when using the intercom. In my case music and phone is clear, so I guess it's a poor quality microphone verses the previous model.

Branded notebooks when it’s low it’s too low and not clear and when it’s loud at is maximum the bass disappears and the sound is too high pitch. I try to download the firmware and apps to balance as good as I could the sound with the option offered by sena app motorcycle but it’s not enough the sound is still not clear and no bass is surrounding the sound ,it’s very frustrating.. does someone had the same experience and could improve the sound with an equalizer for exemple ? I’m willing to change the speakers if needed or possible .
